APPEARANCE & SIZE

G. watsoni is a small, patterned sea star that grows approximately up to six centimetres in arm span. The ornate seastar’s arm is banded and spotted with shades of dark and light grey with a light grey central disk where the underside consists of a light, cream colour.  Such colouration allows the seastar to effectively blend into certain cryptic environments.
