Biogeographic distribution

Wedge sea hares are found throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Wedge sea hares are found in Japan (Kurokawa and Kuwasawa 1985), the Philippines (Springsteen and Leobrera 1986) and Hawaii (Pittman and Fiene 2012). They are also found in Southern Africa (Gosliner 1987).

In Australia, wedge sea hares are widely distributed throughout the Great Barrier Reef, New South Wales and Western Australia (Rudman 1999).
