Ascidian larvae complexity and adultation across all three sub-orders. Aplousobranchia larvae displaying highest complexity, with Aplidium showing extreme adultation. Ectodermal vesicles can be seen projected at anterior end of the Aplidium.  Line diagrams show extent of overlap in larval (blue) and juvenile adult (pink) development.
