Figure 5: The ascidian, Pyrua stolonifera, found within the costal rocky intertidal zone of Shelly Beach, Caloundra, Australia. The soft body of the ascidian can be easily distinguished from the though (thick) tunic due to it’s vibrant orange-red colour. This can be seen in the photo, whereby the orange colouration is of the soft mantle tissue, which lines the inside of tunic. Photograph: Chantel Say
