Student Project Figures Figure 5 The image above was taken by an electron microscope. This is the inside of a tube constructed by a C. nudus specimen. The strands along the sediment are the silk filaments used to glue the particles together. The sticky nature of the strands can be seen as there are many clumps of sediment particles along each of the threads.  Figure 4 Figure 5
