Figure 4. The general physical appearance of an Amphibalanus species. All specimens were from settlement plates deployed at Dunwich or Manly Boat Harbour, Moreton Bay, Australia. They are all about 1cm in height and 2-3cm in width. A) Both barnacles are A. amphitrite. The longitudinal stripes are not reticulated. B) Both barnacles are A. reticulatus.
