Austrocochlea Constricta has a variable pattern of banding present on their shell, which consists of discrete and alternating banding of black and white. Variability to this banding comes in the form of obscurely marked black zigzag lines and stripes or with spiral stripes of black (Creese &Underwood, 1976).
