Trochidae have a large worldwide distribution throughout tropical, temperate and artic waters (Campbell & Dana, 2012).

Austrocochlea Constricta are an endemic species within Australia, with populations in southern parts of the country. With specimens in New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Southern Queensland.
