Balanoglossus carnosus can befound in intertidal to shallow waters of West Atlantic to Indian Oceans(Discover Life 2012). Studies showed that it can be found in the Great BarrierReef, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kuroshio Current, Eastern Coral Triangle, Maldives,New Caledonia, Sahul Shelf and West Caroline Islands (Van der Land, 2014) (figure 15).
