Given that P. margaritifera is an oyster species used in commercial pearl farming it cannot be said that the habitat of C. biunguiculatus is under any specific threat. In areas that P. margaritifera can live, so can C. biunguiculatus meaning that as long as P. margaritifera are part of the pearl industry C. biunguiculatus will have habitat to live in.
