Biogeographic distribution


Coastal rock shore in any eulittoral low tide exposed zone. Indo Pacific Ocean: north to Japan, Christmas Island Australia,west to Eastern Africa, esat to Hawaii central America (Cantera 1991). In Australia, Caputserpentis can be found in most of the coastal area. They are rifely larger size in NSW sea area. They only can be found behind the rock or coral in daytime. Caputserpentis come out for hunting at night to avoid predator (Burgess 1970).
