Trends

In many regions throughout the Indo-West Pacific, such as Singapore and the Phillipines, spider conch populations have been declining steadily over the past century (Hermosilia & Narido 2007). Consequently the spider conch has been listed as either vulnerable or endangered by the IUCN Red List in many of these regions.
