Plakobranchus ocellatus - a sea slug, can be commonly found in the Indo-Pacific region. They are extremely cryptic, with numerous colour/pattern variations at different locations along the Indo-Pacific. This species can be recognized by a lack of shell, bilateral symmetry, lateral rhinophores and spotted ocelli covering the entire length of its body. They fall under the order sacoglossa, with a unique feeling characteristic known as kleptoplasty. Intact algae chloroplasts are ingested, retained and utilized during food shortage.
