Size

The average span of the whorls of an adult Christmas tree worm is 3.8cm. However, this can vary depending on the age of the worm and/or its sub species. The prostomium, when fully extended in an adult specimen, can reach varying lengths between 1-2cm. The body of the worm is dependent on its age, but can reach up to lengths of 3cm (DK 2010).
