Filograna implexa status is stable and is not recorded on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).  Like many other calcareous tube dwellers F. impexa is a infamous bio fouler of marine industry.  It has been found encrusting platforms at oil and gas drilling sites and is easily transported between oceans  to invade new habitats by ships (Ruppert et al 2004).
