Size

Larval phase:

There is currently no peer-reviewed literature on larval stages of J. funebris, but the size of nudibranch larvae has been docoumented (Todd 1987):

·      Planktotrophic veligers of dorid nudibranchs = 166µm long

·      Lecithotrophic veligers = 290 µm long

Adult phase
:

Adult dotted nudibranchs can vary in size from 15 millimetres to over 70 mm long, with an average length 35mm. J. funebris are hermaphrodite, and therefore do not display sexual dimorphism.
