Distribution
S. luhuanus is distributed throughout the tropical and sub-tropical Indo Pacific region in sandy habitats that are associated with coral reefs (Catterall and Poiner, 1983). This distribution stretches throughout Polynesia, Melanesia, tropical and subtropical Australia, Indonesia, South-East Asia and Japan (Catterall and Poiner, 1983).
